Our recommendations for Arts Council England’s next 10 year strategy
The National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance (NCJAA) has published its response to Arts Council England’s consultation on its next 10 year strategy.
We welcome and support many of Arts Council England’s proposed outcomes, especially those which demonstrate a shift in emphasis towards equality and inclusion.
In the document we respond to each of the seven proposed outcomes and make a number of recommendations to help Arts Council England achieve its ambitious outcomes by 2030.
In particular, we recommend the strategy makes explicit recognition of the arts and criminal justice sector, strengthening the case for public investment and enhancing creativity of every kind from people from any background.
