12 days of drama, history and food
Prison arts specialist Rideout (Creative Arts for Rehabilitation) has published a report of Past Time, a food and theatre project delivered at HMP Hewell in partnership with historians from the University of Warwick.
The report offers an insight in to some of the outcomes from the drama-based workshops, food training and history sessions that brought the experience of food in the past to life through theatre and taste, and gave residents the chance to become creative researchers. It features recipes, photographs, case studies, evaluation and commentary.

Past Time is part of Prisoners, Medical Care and Entitlement to Health in England and Ireland 1850 – 2000, a five-year Wellcome Trust-funded project led by Professor Hilary Marland (University of Warwick) and Dr Catherine Cox (University College Dublin), which also produced work in partnership with Geese Theatre Company, Talking Birds and Fuel.
