This masterclass is for both theatre artists and criminal justice professionals interested in the specialised field of arts in the criminal justice system. The day will be an introduction to the work of two of the leading organisations in this field.
Participants will:
- learn about the companies different working practices
- understand the principles and theory underpinning their work
- explore best practice in this field
The day will be participatory and involve drama and theatre exercises, group work, discussion and a plenary session at the end.
The course will be led by Anna Herrmann Joint Artistic Director at Clean Break and Andy Watson, Artistic Director of Geese, leading organisations in the field of arts and criminal justice and members of the National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance Steering Group.
