Bursaries awarded
The National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance is pleased to announce we have successfully awarded seven small bursaries to help emerging artists with a lived experience of the criminal justice system develop their career and artistic practice.
Many thanks to all those who applied, the field was incredibly strong and the panel enjoyed reading how inspiring and transformative the arts have been. The range of practice and creative ambition in the applications was impressive.
At the end of this years’ process grants were awarded to two poets, two musicians, a potter, a visual artist and a photographer. Funds will go towards professional development courses, studio hire, publishing fees, tools and more.
We look forward to seeing the outcome of these bursaries over the next year, and wish all our applicants the best of luck in their creative practice.
