The Women’s Support Centre aims to prevent women coming into contact with the criminal justice system by promoting participation and achievement in the arts. It aims to motivate, inspire and help women to develop the skills needed to lead a more positive life.
Every year the Women’s Support Centre hosts an Art Awards for women to submit artwork from in prison or through visiting the Centre. The entries are exhibited at the Lightbox Gallery.
This theme of this year’s exhibition and Awards is ‘Journey Within’.
