Women’s Transatlantic Prison Activism Since 1960
Friday 7th June 2019
Rothermere American Institute, University of Oxford
This one-day symposium will bring together researchers, creative thinkers, artists, and wider communities interested in policing and criminal justice with a particular focus on women’s transnational prison activism. The keynote speaker is Professor Beth E. Richie.
The event will be followed by a fundraising event at Turl Street Kitchen in Oxford, where musicians, poets, and spoken word artists will perform to raise money for a charity that works with imprisoned women in the UK.
