A one day training course on how to positively navigate conversations with the media about work in arts and the criminal justice system.

The National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance has collaborated with Nine Media Training and consultancy to design a one day course, which aims to support and prepare members so that they can appropriately promote their work with confidence and expertise.

Nine Media Training and Consultancy has direct experience of working with people who have come into contact with the criminal justice system, and in training professionals on how to expertly handle conversations with the media.

The training includes exercises and discussions on:

  • how to give a great interview
  • media secrets
  • mock interviews
  • deflecting tricky questions
  • speaking on and off the record
  • using bridging techniques.

You can expect to go away armed with tools and techniques and feel able to speak confidently with journalists about their work.

Tea and coffee will be provided, however you will need to bring your own lunch.

Spaces are very limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis.
