Call to recognise the value of arts in reducing re-offending
The NCJAA is warning that budget cuts and payment-by-results contracts in the criminal justice system could put some rehabilitation arts services at risk.
On 8th November 2013, Elizabeth Hunt from Arts Professional covered the Alliance’s research report on arts and desistance; ‘Re-Imagining Futures.’
She said:
The research, along with the growing body of evidence, suggests there are strong reasons to consider arts in criminal justice an area of real significance and innovation.”
