Pay what you can
Presented by Tale Be Told Theatre, On Hold is a take on the housing crisis from the viewpoint of families living in temporary accommodation.
Brought to Camden People’s Theatre as part of the One Festival of Homeless Arts, and performed in the round, the show combines personal accounts from the cast with verbatim testimony from families living in temporary accommodation.
These are broken up by moments of clowning and surrealism, echoing the hoops families must go through as they have their lives put ‘on hold’.
This darkly comic play aims to lift the lid on what it means not to have a home to call your own and reveal the human truth behind the statistics of the housing crisis.
