Jennifer Walmsley
Advisory Board member
Jennifer is Executive Director for BearFace Theatre CIC which she co-founded in 2012 and has been developing and delivering arts based programmes across Hampshire and surrounding counties, predominantly working with men and women in prison and probation. With an MA in Applied Theatre, she has over 20 years experience as a group worker and is passionate about people, connection and the power the arts has in strengthening community ties.
Jenny strongly believes that the arts have a vital part to play in supporting a more inclusive, reflective and joyful human experience. Advocating for more meaningful trauma informed support in and around the CJS that also reaches out to families, staff and third sector organisations. Space to creatively reflect and the arts are essential not just a treat. Her hope is that the work invites fresh thinking, sparks debate and presents new perspectives. Creative action for social change.
