Two boroughs both alike in poverty,
South and east where we tell our story.
From past issues up to present gang wars
Evading the laws to kill without cause.
Then he saw her, it was love at first sight,
She caught a glimpse and was like,
he’s alright!
But she’s from E8 and he’s from Southeast,
And they got bare beef so that means no peace.
But these two lovers were prepared to fight,
And tread the fearful tight rope of their plight.
Despite the backlash of the hood enraged,
This passion was one lion they could not cage.
Engage, and with patient ears tell others
That our stage is full of Shakespeare’s Lovers.
