Simon Ruding
Advisory Board member
Simon Ruding is the Artistic Director and CEO of the Manchester based participatory arts organisation, TiPP.
Simon has over thirty years’ experience of developing and delivering arts-based programmes in Criminal and Social Justice settings and has worked extensively in prison, probation, youth justice and social care services throughout the British Isles and beyond, delivering projects in Scandinavia, South Africa and the United States. Previously he was Director of Geese Theatre Company, UK.
He is and Honorary Research Associate of the University of Manchester and has a PhD in Applied Theatre.
Simon was previously Co-Chair of the National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance from July 2020 until January 2023.Simon is a Trustee for several arts and criminal justice organisations, including The Men’s Room, and Clinks and in his spare time he acts as administrator the Gold for the Stone Foundation, which coordinates the Christmas Dinners, an annual festive project for care experienced young people established by Lemn Sissay, www.goldfromthestone.org.uk
