SUMMARY:Sounding Out band play Bush Hall
DESCRIPTION:Bush Hall\, Shepherds Bush\n Thursday 25 January 2018\n Doors open 7.30pm\n Book now \nAn evening celebrating the transformative\, transporting power of music with the bands Inside Out and The Fish Police. \nInside Out was formed on the Irene Taylor Trust’s Sounding Out ex-prisoner programme; the band has developed a distinctive sound with intricate melodies and big emotion\, hearts on sleeves\, honestly sharing their life stories and displaying exceptional musicianship as they jointly look to the future: \n“We always knew it was gonna be hard/ To leave this prison with a brand new start/ But full of strength and my hand on my heart/ I’m gonna make you proud of me.” \nTheir set will also feature an exciting collaboration with classical musicians from Phaedra Ensemble. \nSupport from The Fish Police. Combining upbeat surreal pop imagery with glitchy beats\, The Fish Police have created their own unique blend of electronic glitsch pop. They mix their love of computer games\, cartoons\, fast food and Japanese culture to create sounds that set them apart on the UK urban music scene. \nTickets are £7.50 or £5 concessions (plus booking fees). Book here. \n\nAny profits will go towards the Irene Taylor Trust\, supporting its inspirational work with people of all ages inside prisons throughout the UK\, young people at risk of offending in the community\, and ex-prisoners rebuilding their lives on the outside. \nRead more on Inside Out and the Sounding Out programme here.
