DESCRIPTION:Friday 6th July\n10.30am – 5.30pm\nWatts Gallery\, Down Lane\, Compton\, Surrey GU3 1DQ\n£10\n \nClick here to book \nNational Criminal Justice Arts Alliance is partnering with Watts Gallery to deliver a professional practice seminar on Museums and the criminal justice system. \nWe will be sharing case-studies and advice on developing partnerships between museums\, galleries and prisons and will be holding workshops that look at the opportunities and challenges in the sector. \nThe seminar is suitable for cultural organisations\, freelance practitioners and those working within criminal justice and prisons. \nThis event coincides with Watts Gallery’s Art for All Exhibition 2018 marking 10 years of work with prisons\, young offenders and community groups. Watts Gallery will be presenting an overview of their latest partnership with HMP YOI Feltham and delegates will have the chance to take a curator led tour of their current exhibitions. \nFurther speakers include: \n\nJo Augustus\, Head of Art Psychotherapy at HMP Grendon\nHenry Smithers\, Head of Skills and Education at HMP YOI Feltham\nLynn Weddle\, an artist working with young offenders\nSally Varah MBE DL\, Chair of The Michael Varah Memorial Fund\nDarren Raymond\, Artistic Director of Intermission Youth Theatre\nErika Flowers\, an artist and former prisoner\n\nLunch will be provided in the setting of Limnerslease\, the Artists’ House at Watts Gallery. \nClick here to download the programme \nClick here to book your ticket \n\nImage courtesy of Watts Gallery
