DESCRIPTION:‘We are all human’ is the UK’s annual national showcase of arts by prisoners\, ex-offenders on community sentences\, secure psychiatric patients and immigration detainees. It is the ninth exhibition in an ongoing partnership between the Koestler Trust and Southbank Centre. \nThis year’s show was curated by writer and dub-poet Benjamin Zephaniah. The exhibition features a wide range of artforms including painting\, drawing\, matchstick modelling\, craft\, music and writing\, exploring themes of time\, contemplation and the natural environment. \nClick here for more information

DESCRIPTION:Two boroughs both alike in poverty\,\nSouth and east where we tell our story.\nFrom past issues up to present gang wars\nEvading the laws to kill without cause.\nThen he saw her\, it was love at first sight\,\nShe caught a glimpse and was like\,\nhe’s alright! \nBut she’s from E8 and he’s from Southeast\,\nAnd they got bare beef so that means no peace.\nBut these two lovers were prepared to fight\,\nAnd tread the fearful tight rope of their plight.\nDespite the backlash of the hood enraged\,\nThis passion was one lion they could not cage.\nEngage\, and with patient ears tell others\nThat our stage is full of Shakespeare’s Lovers. \nSee Intermission Youth Theatre’s ‘Love me to Death’ (inspired by Romeo and Juliet) from 26th October – 19th November in London. \nClick here to book tickets
